Ephesians 1:9-10 (NIV)
9 And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment–to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.
How few there are that really understand the purpose of their existence. Many go through life never knowing why they are here. Our educators and academicians have been the blind leading the blind for decades now. The best our academicians can come up up with is that we are just a cosmic accident that is headed nowhere and for no purpose. The great writer, Ernest Hemingway, made the comment, “Life is a cheap trick. It is a short journey from nothingness ot nothingness.” Confronted by that meaningless existence he decided to take his life at the age of sixty-three.
How tragic it is that educators have tired themselves attempting to discover the meaning and purpose of life when it has been right in front of them all the time. Their refusal to open the Book of Life and read it has brought untold and unnecessary confusion to all those they have taught.
Perhaps this is why David could write in Psalms 119:99 “I have more understanding than all my teachers because I meditate on thy law.”
