January 5, 2018: The Urgency of the Invitation

Isaiah 55:6 (NIV)
6  Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.

Yesterday we learned that there is a party being hosted at the end of this age for all who will make their way to the celebration. You might find it hard to believe that you are invited to join because of how you have lived in the past. Let me assure you that this is not the case.  Consider the urgency of this invitation. God knew you would have a hard time deciding whether you qualified for such a party so he issues a clear urgent call. “Seek the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near.”

The danger of such an invitation is that many will wait past the deadline and arrive at the party after the doors are closed.  It will be too late then.  The only reason you will not get in the party is because you arrived too late after the doors were closed.

The invitation is for anyone who will respond to the king’s invitation and put aside all else and make their way to the celebration hall.

Go ahead and run to the celebration hall, don’t be late!
