Jeremiah 50:20 (NIV)
20 In those days, at that time,” declares the LORD, “search will be made for Israel’s guilt, but there will be none, and for the sins of Judah, but none will be found, for I will forgive the remnant I spare.
O, how many there are who fear God bringing into remembrance all of their sin at the Day of Judgment. They cower before their concept of God, thinking that he will constantly remind them of their sin they committed in this life. How terrible it would be to have replayed for eternity every sinful thought, every wicked action. This, my friends, is going to be the lot of those who refuse to repent and trust in Christ, they will have an eternal remembrance of all their wicked deeds and thoughts that were the means by which they refused the eternal pleasure of God.
However, it will not be like that for those who return through repentance and confession of their sins and place their trust in the God who chooses to forget any record of their sin. Not only does he forget but he permanently erases all record of such thoughts or actions from his redeemed people.
O what a day that will be when He erases for eternity our sinful thoughts and deeds. Think of it church, our sins will not follow us to heaven, they have been destroyed when they collided with the cross of Calvary.
Are your sins covered, have they been removed by the collision of the cross?
